About Raw Freq

Raw Freq started in a record box.

Not a boardroom. Not a design agency. A record box — the kind you carry to venues at midnight and leave at 6am.

We run Mal-Function Records, an independent techno label. We've spent years in the culture — pressing vinyl, booking artists, building a sound. And we got tired of the merch that exists for people like us. Either it's overpriced, poorly made, or designed by someone who's never been in a room where the music actually matters.

So we built something different.

Raw Freq is the apparel arm of Mal-Function Records — organic cotton garments for electronic music culture. Every piece is made from GOTS-certified cotton, grown without pesticides and certified from field to finished product. We work with Printful to fulfil orders on demand, which means nothing is overproduced and nothing ends up in landfill.

Drops are tied to music. When Mal-Function puts out a release, Raw Freq drops a garment. Limited runs. No restocks guaranteed. This isn't a T-shirt business trying to look like it's connected to the culture — it is the culture.

What we believe:

Quality matters more than quantity. The garment you wear to a rave at 4am should be built to survive it. Organic material isn't a marketing claim — it's a baseline. Underground music deserves underground credibility, not licensed mass production.

Raw Freq. A sister project of Mal-Function Records. Built from inside the scene.
